City committed to full-size supermarket in northeast OKC, says Pettis

Prior to getting down to the main topic at last night’s town hall on public safety, Ward 7 Councilman John Pettis made an announcement about the King’s Crossing development difficulties. This project was to bring an Uptown Market to the corner of MLK and 23rd.

He updated the crowd on negotiations about the stalled development, and promised that the city was committed to bringing a full-size “quality” market to the northeast quadrant of the city. The deadline for a decision by the developer is Thursday, September 29, and a public announcement will follow shortly thereafter.
