Oklahoma says “Boot Pruitt” at downtown protest during EPA chief speech

Oklahoma City – On Wednesday, about 30 activists gathered downtown with signs and banner near a large boot-shaped balloon labeled “Boot Pruitt.” What prompted the event was a visit by Oklahoman Scott Pruitt’s to speak at a  concurrent event at the Cox Convention Center. The protesters came to express their distaste for the way Pruitt is decimating the environment and the agency he leads that is supposed to protect it. Organized by the Oklahoma Chapter of the Sierra Club, the action featured brief remarks by several environmental organizers, including Pat Hoerth, Madison Lovell and Ashley McCray.
