YES ALL Daughters Food Drive Benefiting Tigers Helping Tigers
November 19, 2017 @ 12:00 am - December 21, 2017 @ 11:59 pm
To commemorate our third anniversary, we are partnering with local businesses and community members to stock the Norman High School Tigers Helping Tigers Food Pantry.
Students face many barriers to success in education. Hunger and homelessness are a reality for many, with 49% of NHS students identified as low income or at poverty level. Many NHS students face chronic hunger, homelessness, and family crisis. Kids facing these obstacles are at an increased risk for not finishing high school. They’re also at a greatly increased risk of sexual and relationship violence, in addition to an increased risk of human trafficking. Tigers Helping Tigers aims to raise awareness of these issues in our community and give these kids a fighting chance. Getting these students through high school is paramount to ensuring their shot at future success.
Yes All Daughters began in response to the sexual assaults and bullying of multiple Norman High School students, and we know firsthand that a grassroots movement to raise community awareness can have a profound, far-reaching, and lasting impact. With this in mind, we want to continue to support the students of Norman High and give back in this tangible and immediately impactful way. Please join us.
